D&H Distributing has kicked-off an initiative to help support storm victims affected by Hurricane Sandy. The distributor will donate 1 percent of orders placed during the Wednesday, November 7, D&H Fall Mid-Atlantic Technology Show (held in Hershey, PA) to this effort.
The company will also donate 1 percent of orders billed via the dandh.com web site or the D&H Mobile App for iPhone and iPod touch on Friday, November 9. Funds from both will be donated to the American Red Cross for storm relief.
D&H views its ability to offer support in situations such as the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy as a multi-part endeavor. The company supports the American Red Cross on an ongoing basis with monetary donations and food drives, including donations from D&H’s employee-run “D&H Cares” foundation. The distributor has made its warehouse space available to the American Red Cross to store supplies in times of crisis, and continues to offer this resource. It is also working with many of its customers who have been affected by the storm on a case-by-case basis to help support their recoveries.
“We’re shocked and saddened by the unexpected devastation that Hurricane Sandy has brought to our friends, neighbors, dealer and retailer customers, and vendor partners in nearby New Jersey and New York, and beyond,” said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales at D&H. “It’s an honor to be able to extend our resources to the American Red Cross to help keep those victims safe, and to help get their homes and operations up and running again. Thanks in advance to our customer community for their support of this initiative.”
