D&H Hosts Mid-Atlantic Fall Show in Hershey

D&H Distributing will host its sixth annual Mid-Atlantic Fall Technology Show on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey, PA.

D&H Distributing will host its sixth annual Mid-Atlantic Fall Technology Show on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey, PA.

The event is expected to attract 1,000 attendees from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, DC. Registration opens at 11:00 a.m., with seminars running from 12:00 to 6:45 p.m., and exhibits open from 3:00 until 8:30 p.m. Registration is free for D&H customers.

More than 100 manufacturer partners will participate, including new D&H partners FAVI Entertainment (makers of the “SmartStick” HDTV streaming devices), Promise Technologies (SMB, SOHO and hybrid-cloud storage), and Biscotti Inc. (SmartTV camera phones), each of which will be spotlighted in D&H’s latest Emerging Technology Pavilion.

The 2012 fall show will include seven seminars from industry partners, some in the midst of major market initiatives. These include Microsoft (doing sessions on Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and “the new office”), Cisco, Intel, HP, Lenovo and SMB Nation. Additional exhibitors include Acer, ASUS, Canon, Creative, Epson, Hauppauge Computer Works, JVC, Kensington, LG Electronics, Logitech, NVIDIA, Philips, Ricoh, Toshiba, Samsung, WatchGuard and more.

Microsoft will host an enhanced “Device Bar,” giving attendees access to a collection of live ultrabooks, notebooks and tablets devices, including Windows 8 models, so dealers and retailers can become familiar with the “look and feel” of such machines. Units to be demonstrated at the Device Bar include the Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook, ASUS Eee B121 slate, ASUS UX31E Zenbook Ultrabook, Lenovo U300S Ultrabook, Samsung Series 7 Ultrabook, Samsung 900X Ultrabook, and the Toshiba Portege Z835 notebook.

The show floor will offer a series of specialty exhibits, including a D&H Solutions Booth manned by Beabloo and featuring its digital marketing solutions; plus the D&H Partner Services booth. At the D&H Cares booth, attendees who donate non-perishable food items or a $5.00 contribution can earn raffle tickets for a prize. All the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey, PA.

Other prizes include a Case Logic 29-inch rolling duffel estimated to be worth $190 for one lucky winner at each of the seminars, and a Grand Prize Windows 8 tablet from Microsoft (model to be announced). D&H customers will be granted special, one-day only pricing on the exhibit floor, as is the norm at the distributor’s trade shows—which in addition to offering valuable content, have always been sales-oriented opportunities.
