D&H Offers New eCommerce Tool

Harrisburg, PA — North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor D&H Distributing has joined forces with Etilize to offer its SpeX Source catalog of product specifications and content for use on eCommerce web sites.

This service provides dealers, etailers, and retailers with the latest and most precise available specifications for thousands of the technology products that D&H carries. This aggregated data includes web-ready product images, marketing copy, category information, part numbers, popular features, and search keywords. The information can be used to improve the accuracy and detail of subscribers’ eCommerce storefronts, online catalogs, and electronic marketing materials, creating a better end-user experience.

The distributor has partnered with Etilize for more than two years to provide more comprehensive specifications on its own web sites,, and in Canada. This was implemented in response to customer feedback requesting enhanced product details and content. Recognizing the value the service has created, D&H would like its customers to have access to these same resources.

“We want to give our customers the most advantages possible, especially when it comes to their ability to market themselves, convey value and increase sales in this environment,” said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales at D&H. “More detailed taxonomy and quality data can help differentiate their inventory and their overall proposition for buyers, creating a better transaction experience. That can generate a competitive edge at a time when many companies are lowering their standards.”

Customers can obtain the SpeX Source service on a subscription basis with a minimum one-year contract, which includes standard integration, documentation and 24/7 support. Subscribers can receive content via XML or hosted delivery, in standardized, normalized and structured formats.

D&H customers can call 888.608.1212 ext. 1 or e-mail [email protected] to subscribe to the Etilize SpeX Source service.
