Skyworth has selected Canadian technology distributor Firstech as Skyworth’s master distributor in Canada. Firstech will oversee all distribution and marketing activities for Skyworth in Canada, with a focus on the brand’s Lifestyle TV line, including the Clarus Outdoor line, Canvas Art and Canvas Elite Art TVs, and Companion Portable models.
Until now, Firstech Canada was primarily a 12-volt distributor, but company president Bryan Sack has more than 25 years’ experience in the custom installation space, including owning his own integration company and several positions working for industry distributors. According to Sack, the addition of Skyworth to the company’s ranks signifies Firstech’s intention to serve the Canadian CI market, and hints of additional product categories throughout the year in the lead-up to CEDIA Expo.
“Skyworth’s Lifestyle line gives Canadian dealers something genuinely different to sell — premium TVs designed for the way people live, indoors and out,” says Sack. “We’ve spent 20 years earning trust with retailers and installers across the country, and we’re putting that full team behind this launch.”
As master distributor, Firstech will manage inventory, logistics, and sales operations for Skyworth products throughout Canada, while also leading trade and consumer marketing programs, channel development, and dealer outreach.
At launch, Firstech has positioned four development managers to support integrators seeking Skyworth’s products, with one in each of Canada’s four regions.
The Skyworth agreement marks a significant expansion for the company into the home entertainment category, giving Canadian retailers and installers the opportunity to work with a familiar, trusted team as they add premium outdoor and indoor Art TV solutions to their offerings.
