D&M Holdings Expands into Latin America

Denon's Stephen Baker will lead the effort as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Latin America.

Mahwah, NJ–D&M Holdings Inc. has launched a major expansion initiative into the Latin American market. Key to the initiative is the appointment of Denon President Stephen Baker to the newly created position of senior vice president of sales and marketing for Latin America. Baker will begin his new role effective April 9th, reporting directly to Bob Weissburg, president, D&M sales and marketing, North America and will assume responsibility for sales and marketing of all D&M brands in Latin American countries, including Denon, Marantz, D&M Professional, Boston Acoustics, Snell, Escient, and McIntosh. He will also be responsible for managing all D&M rep firms and distributors in the region.

D&M Holdings has also appointed of industry veteran Joseph Stinziano to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Denon Electronics. He will be reporting directly to Weissburg.

Noted Weissburg: “There are immense growth opportunities for D&M in the Latin American market, and we’re fortunate to have someone of Stephen’s proven capabilities to help us realize this growth throughout our portfolio of brands. In addition to focusing on sales and marketing of all brands, Stephen will also be responsible for building all D&M brands and establishing systems for logistics, service and product development for the Latin American market.”

Baker has been with Denon for 23 years, beginning as a regional manager and working his way up to president in 2003. During his tenure at Denon, the company grew to become an established leader in the home entertainment market.

Mr. Stinziano has extensive experience in product sales and marketing, supply chain initiatives and mid-range planning, and we look forward to utilizing his creativity and marketing expertise as we continue growing Denon’s market presence and innovative product portfolio.”

Stinziano is an 18-year veteran of the consumer products industry, with longtime experience in distribution and sales and creative marketing of consumer electronics. He has served at Sony Electronics for the last nine years, most recently as senior vice president of the Media and Applications Solutions division. Previously, he was the general manager of Sony’s Home Products. Prior to joining Sony, he was a product marketing manager at AT&T Consumer Markets division. Mr. Stinziano earned his B.S.E.E. degree from Rutgers College of Engineering.
