D-Tools Inc. has selected the winners of its 2010 Project:SUCCESS contest, which recognizes excellence in system integration projects utilizing D-Tools System Integrator software.

D-Tools held the contest in May 2010 to pursue SI5.5 users’ greatest success stories about how the software has positively affected their business and returned a significant ROI. Success stories of some of most distinguished system integrators were submitted by the D-Tools user base.

The contest is sponsored by D-Tools MVP Partners Atlantic Technology and Universal Remote Control.

The winners were selected by the D-Tools Executive team and were judged on a number of criteria, including originality, project complexity, use of D-Tools’ software, and which stories best communicate the user’s expertise of the software.

The 2010 Project:SUCCESS Winners:

First Place: Rich Hoppe of Multi-Media Solutions
Based in northeast Indiana, Multi-Media Solution’s knowledge and expertise of D-Tools software landed them not only one, but two opportunities to design and install the low-voltage systems for largely recognized restaurant franchises. They consistently and effortlessly win bids over competitors because of their straightforward, uncomplicated, yet clear and concise system designs created with D-Tools. Starting out as a small residential custom integrator, D-Tools has helped Multi-Media Solutions cross over to the world of Commercial sales & installation with each new sale totaling over 100K. They continue to expand their business and have now won bids for franchises across the mid-west and east coast. Rich’s comprehensive and exquisite knowledge of D-Tools software puts his company in a strong position to put their competition to rest. The consistent success that Multi-Media Solutions upholds is what won Rich First Place.

Second Place: Scott Hovhannissian of Limelight Systems
When bidding for a high-profile job for a Connecticut based Medical Facility, Hovhannissian’s expertise of D-Tools software allowed him to see missing pieces and potential conflicts of competitor’s proposals that he had avoided. They had the task of interfacing their control and communications system with a remote controlled surgical robot, and also broadcasting the procedure to several auditoriums on both the hospital campus and a facility located in a remote location. They were able to put together a comprehensive design that can not only be presented as a whole, but broken up to present to each department involved. The complexity of this project in combination with how Hovhannissian leveraged D-Tools to ease the design phase landed LimeLight Systems Second Place.

Third Place: Luke Nelson of Vann’s Inc.
The use of D-Tools SI5.5 has allowed Vanns to be more efficient, more profitable and has allowed them to take on larger projects than in the past. Their impressive contest entry included project design and details about a Bermuda based 24 hour health club project that integrated audio/video distribution and a communication system throughout the whole facility. Nelson’s overall expertise of D-Tools software and how he used it to simplify a complex system won him Third Place.

“Choosing the winners for this contest was not an easy task. Each finalist presented unique project challenges they overcame, superb project documentation and significant business ROI they achieved with our software,” said D-Tools president and CEO Adam Stone. “We are proud to announce the winners of the contest and present them their prizes provided by our MVP partners. We thank all the participants for the great submissions, and look forward to future success stories.”
