Easy Access Distribution Expo Draws 185 Integrators

The Northeast region member of the Catalyst AV distribution network reported that its 15th annual Emerging Technologies & Home Awareness Expo, held October 15-16 at the Billerica, MA, Courtyard by Marriot, had an attendance 185 integrators.

Integrators have more educational opportunities than ever, thanks to events like the one held earlier this month by Easy Access Distribution. The Northeast region member of the Catalyst AV distribution network reported that its 15th annual Emerging Technologies & Home Awareness Expo, held October 15-16 at the Billerica, MA, Courtyard by Marriot, had an attendance 185 integrators.

Trainings included, “The “Internet of Things is Here” (sponsored by Nest/Dropcam) and “It’s All About the Network” (sponsored by Luxul).
Trainings included, “The “Internet of Things is Here” (sponsored by Nest/Dropcam), “It’s All About the Network” (sponsored by Luxul), “The Home Theater Experience” (sponsored by Sonance), and “Boosting a Better Signal” (sponsored by Wilson Electronics). Vivitek projectors, Definitive Technology, Denon, and DaLite came to together to demonstrate Dolby Atmos.

“Many of the trainings were 50-plus attendees per session [which was] proof-positive that integrators want to learn how to seize new opportunities,” said Steve Presti, principal of Easy Access Distribution. “We also had the first showing in New England of a deliverable Dolby Atmos system, which created the anticipated response of a well-designed high-performance experience. All of these products are not the same, and we demonstrated this at the event.”

Carole Masuck, regional sales manager of Milestone (Chief, Raxxess, Sanus, and DaLite) said that it is always productive to be part of the Easy Access Distribution/Catalyst AV Distribution Network team when they present their dealer shows. “I’m able to work with many regional dealers and their sales teams, many of whom do not attend CES or CEDIA,” she said. “They get a hands-on experience as well as an opportunity for me to direct them on … what the trends are, etc. I do not often have the luxury to touch so many dealers face-to-face in two short days!”

Thirty manufacturers had tables set up at the event to showcase their newest offerings. Participants included 2Gig, Alarm.com, APC, Atlona, Boston Acoustics, BrightSign, Catalyst AV Wire & Cable, Chief, ClearView CCTV, DaLite, Definitive Technology, Dropcam, Denon, Dynamat, enerG, EnGenius, Heos by Denon, IC Realtime, ICE Cable Systems, iPort, Launchport, Luxul, Marantz, Nest, Perfect Path, Pro Control, Raxxess by Chief, RTI, Russound, Sonance, TiVo, Vanco, Vivitek, and Wilson Electronics.
