Lexington, KY–ELAN Home Systems, manufacturer of multi-room audio/video and home control systems, has acquired HomeLogic, a manufacturer of home management and IP-based control solutions. Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed. The announcement was made by Bob Farinelli, ELANs president and chief technology officer.
ELANs acquisition of HomeLogic creates an alliance intended to provide custom installation dealers with a comprehensive solution for almost every aspect of home entertainment and control.
This combination will grant access to the HomeLogic line for hundreds of ELAN dealers, accelerate product development for both companies, and expand dealer support programs.
According to Farinelli, who will assume the post of HomeLogic president, together with Sunfire Corp. (previously acquired by ELAN) and now HomeLogic, ELAN with its subsidiaries now encompasses three strong brands for the custom marketplace. We are pleased to welcome HomeLogic into the ELAN close-knit family of companies,” he said. “The breadth of home management solutions they offer will accelerate ELANs planned advancement into the IP and Home Automation marketplace, adding high-end turnkey products that will immediately enhance ELANs core business and offer our dealers exactly what they have requested.
This is big step forward for HomeLogic and our Dealers, added Jim Herman, vice president and general manager of HomeLogic. It allows our team in Marblehead to focus on product development while capitalizing on ELANs award-winning sales and support machine. We share ELANs belief that our products require a professional, properly trained dealer network to succeed, and everyone at HomeLogic is excited to step it up to the next level as part of the ELAN family.
