ELAN Tech Week Sells Out

Two additional manufacturers also added to educational event.

Lexington, KY — ELAN Home Systems’ Tech Week 2008 has completely sold out its 300 seats, and a waiting list has been created. The announcement was made today by Paul Starkey, ELAN’s executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Bucking the doom and gloom of the slow market and suffering economy reports, Tech Week 2008s 300 seats were snatched up in record time by technicians and installers from across the globe, including 24 international registrations representing companies from 10 countries across four continents.

Its remarkable to see such industry enthusiasm for technical training with ELAN, HomeLogic and Sunfire and the chance to network with our prestigious group of sponsors has resulted in an earlier-than-ever sell-out for Tech Week 2008, Starkey said. The power of our three companies together has proven to be a tremendous draw. Although we officially had to shut down registration when we hit 300, we are, in fact, oversold. The phones continue to ring with many dealers and sales managers calling for additional seats. In response, we have created a waiting list in the event that any more event space and rooms become available.

ELAN Home Systems also has signed on LiteTouch and Aprilaire as new sponsors of its Tech Week 2008 event, joining Lutron, Middle Atlantic Products.

Its awesome to be able to welcome Tech Week veteran sponsor Aprilaire back to this years event as well as first-time Tech Week participant LiteTouch,” said ELAN’s executive VP of sales and marketing, Paul Starkey. “Both companies participation, along with our headline sponsors, Lutron and Middle Atlantic, will guarantee that this years event will prove to be the most dynamic technical learning experience weve offered to date.”

ELANs award-winning Tech Week has grown into the industrys most elite educational event and, this year, will bring together more than 300 top ELAN, HomeLogic and Sunfire Dealers, VIA! Integration Partners and media representatives from May 13-16 at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Kentucky. Undoubtedly the industrys most intensive bi-annual technical training event, ELAN Tech Week has been specifically designed for the benefit of the companies technicians, installers, and programmers.

Tech Week was uniquely developed to provide three different level of hands-on and classroom training. Each level will feature separate key points of focus pertaining to the individual attendees experience level in order to help optimize learning for all. Working directly with ELAN, HomeLogic, Sunfire and ELANs Sponsors and Integration Partners, attendees will learn about new products and technologies and provide feedback on them. As an added bonus, attendees will be eligible to receive six CEDIA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for successful completion of the three day training event.

As part of their Sponsorships, Aprilaire and LiteTouch will offer demonstrations on integration of their products with ELAN, HomeLogic, and Sunfire products. This will provide dealers with the opportunity to see how these manufacturers are working hand-in-hand with ELAN to simplify product integration and their installations. In addition, sponsors will have the opportunity to meet with the dealers one-on-one, be part of Tech Week marketing efforts, and participate in Installer discussions.

Tech Week adds to ELANs broad spectrum of industry-benchmark training offerings. Today, dealers may choose exactly what is best for them from a wide array of multi-faceted options including ELANs West Coast trainings in Carlsbad, California, ELAN and Sunfire University, weekly national in-field trainings, trade show trainings, distribution trainings, ELANs regular twice-monthly headquarter trainings, Marblehead, Massachusetts, HomeLogic training, and Tech Week.
