Lexington, KY–ELAN Home Systems inaugural, week-long, large-scale West coast training event, held in Las Vegas at the Alexis Park Resort and Hotel from July 24-29 was oversold with 120 Western and Mountain region-based participants in attendance. Beginning in 2007, the full-scale training will be held regularly at sister-company Linears headquarters, located in Carlsbad, California, which will become the permanent home for ELANs West Coast Training Program.
The new program has been modeled after ELANs headquarters training held twice monthly in Lexington and includes ELAN sales, technical, and sister-company Sunfire training, and boasts utilization of sixteen fully outfitted racks for hands-on learning and real-world troubleshooting. Three of ELANs dales managers, three regional technical associates, and ELANs national training manager were at the sessions the entire week to work closely with dealers.
ELANs Western and Mountain Regional teams have been providing dealers with in-field training in the territory for years, said Paul Starkey, ELANs executive vice president of sales and marketing. We believe it is of utmost importance to maximize the number of training opportunities we can offer, and have recognized a growing need to reach more of our dealers throughout the country with our headquarters program. The full-scale training gives our Western-based dealers the ability to spend more hands-on time with the ELAN team, helping to ensure that they will achieve maximum success with our products and company.
