Hauppauge, NY–Electrograph Systems has named Maureen Schmidt vice president of its regional sales group effective immediately. In her new role, Schmidt oversees all seven of Electrographs sales regions and leads more than 75 sales professionals. Her emphasis is on growth in the small and medium-sized business (SMB) sector with commercial and residential AV integrators.
Maureen brings a deep understanding of the AV channels, years of experience working for some of the top display manufacturers and has a well-respected reputation in the channel, said Sam Taylor, president of Electrograph Systems. She is working to grow our regional sales team business and cultivate new and existing relationships with reseller partners.
Schmidt has a 20-year record of achievement creating and executing channel sales strategies, building partnerships, developing sales teams and growing new business.
Prior to Electrograph, Schmidt served as vice president, North American Sales and senior director, Channel Sales for NEC Corporation of America, where she was responsible for exceeding revenue and profitability goals for 12 consecutive quarters and increasing channel sales revenue by 50 percent. Schmidt has also held a variety of channel and sales management positions with InFocus Corporation, Hyundai Electronics America, and Mitsubishi Electronics America Systems.
As vice president of Electrographs regional sales group, Schmidt operates out of her home office in Littleton, Colorado and Electrographs corporate headquarters in Hauppauge, New York.
