Electrograph Looks Forward to a Revolution The CE distributor has unveiled a line of plasmas and LCD displays exclusive for installers to see higher returns on custom installations. By RS Staff Published: October 23, 2006 ⋅ Updated: April 15, 2019 New York, NY–Last week, display distributor Electrograph traveled to New York’s Madison Square Garden to unveil its RevolutionHD line of plasmas and LCD designed specifically to help improve installer margins. Citing dramatic price drops and fierce competition among flat panel manufacturers, Electrograph president Sam Taylor noted during the press-only event that installers have lost that value-add edge which often lends credence to their unique residential installations, forcing them to look for alternative solutions. “The RevolutionHD line helps professional installers provide their customers with a top-notch product at an affordable price while still making a profit,” he explained. Electrograh, which also distributes displays from the likes of Pioneer, Samsung, and Hitachi, worked on the new line with an undisclosed Korea-based manufacturer and emphasized the RevolutionHD line comes with a suite of features–among them an ISF-certified image calibration tool and a full range of input/output ports–that other manufacturers have either neglected or removed to remain price competitive. The new line, which will be available later this year, comes in sleek 32-, 37-, 42- and 46-inch LCD displays and 42- and 50-inch plasma displays in a variety of configurations, including some with optional detachable speakers. With the introduction of the RevolutionHD range, Electrograph will discontinue production of its own brand of displays early next year. For more, visit www.electrograph.com.
