Elite Screens, Inc. has launched AIRFLEX5D LLC, a company dedicated to providing a Multi-Projector Stacking System which will allow custom integrators to create a high performance image similar to 12000 Lumen 1080P projectors at lesser cost.
The Airflex5D system is a 2D/3D projector stacking system that precisely aligns the images of multiple projectors vertically and horizontally into one single picture with amplified brightness. It can accommodate up to a 1920 x 1200 resolution projector with dual-channel geometric image correction and support de-interlacing, scaling and image enhancement.
According to the company, with an AF5D-5S system, you can achieve similar results to high–end 1080P projectors that produce 10000+ by using a combination of 4x standard 3000 lumen projectors with a pair of AF5D-5S stacking processers and get similar results while paying on average below $1 per lumen.
The AirFlex5D system also ensures that there is no down time if one lamp goes out, as the other 3 will remain operational. As an environmentally conscious and power-saving advantage, the AirFlex5D Multi-Projector Stacking System can achieve vivid picture brightness using one projector at night or 4 projectors against the ambient lighting of daytime presentations.
The AirFlex AF5D-5S can provide a theater-grade Passive 3D performance when combined with Elite’s AirBright3D2 screen material. Geometric image correction is essential for commercial presentations that utilize an uneven projection surface. This feature of the AF5D-5S is crucial in projecting on extreme curved or dome screen projection arrays.
