Fusion Research is expanding the availability of its new Ovation Music Streamers by signing seven new distributors to increase purchasing options for dealers.
“The introduction of Ovation has exceeded all our expectations in terms of number of units sold and more importantly the number of new dealers we have signed up to get access to the product,” said vice president of sales, Ingo Schmoldt. “Since its introduction at CEDIA, we’ve added over 250 new dealers and completely sold through our first two allocation of units.”
To increase access to the custom channel, Fusion has recently signed on seven regional distributors, with plans to add additional distributors to cover the country. “With our 3-zone units starting at $995 retail, dealers can bid these into virtually every job. We realized that having units available in stock locally will help the dealer be more efficient and give them more purchasing options.”

According to the company, one reason for the success of the Ovation was the timing of Logitech discontinuing their Squeezebox line of products, including the Duet and Touches. Since Ovation is 100 percent compatible to the Logitech units, the Ovation is a multi-zone drop in replacement for these products and can take advantage of the existing two-way drivers for control companies such as ELAN, Savant, Crestron, AMX, RTI, Control4 and Bitwise. In addition to the two-way control interfaces, Ovation has free iPhone/iPad apps as well as Android apps available for download.
“We are working hard on a new product platform to extend the success of the Ovation to include wireless distribution,” Schmoldt said. “We hope to make some major product announcements in the upcoming months, please stay tuned.”
