Fusion Offers Blu-ray Support

Media server manufacturer partners with ArcSoft to provide Blu-ray support for its line of media servers.

Danville, CA — Fusion Research offers Blu-ray disc playback on its latest line of BD media server products and will provide the ability to purchase Blu-ray upgrades for existing customers non-BD players, so they dont have to be replaced.

The companys announcement also includes its new partnership with ArcSoft, which is
supplying some of the key Blu-ray playback technologies for the products release.

We are very excited to be able to offer our customers Blu-ray disc playback on our media server products. This is the first step in a multi-tiered approach to providing 1080p native content support, said Fusions president Joseph Storm. We also wanted to make sure that every Fusion customer is given an upgrade path, so no one is left out of the new technology.

Fusions new technology partner, ArcSoft, was critical to helping the company overcome the challenges of Blu-ray playback. “We are thrilled to be working with Fusion Research, a leading manufacturer of media servers, said George Tang, ArcSoft vice president and general manager of Video and Home Entertainment Group. By using ArcSoft technology, users are able to enjoy Blu-ray
movies, adding another dimension to the Fusion’s media server.”
