Natick, MA–Genelec has appointed industry veteran Scott Esterson to the newly created position of western sales manager. The position increases Genelec’s west coast presence and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to providing both professional and home users with its active monitoring systems solutions.
In his new position, Esterson will focus on driving sales for Genelec on the west coast and managing, motivating, supporting, and expanding the Genelec dealer base in California. In addition, he will increase end user awareness, work with independent reps and gather data and filter feedback to Genelec’s Marketing Department. These duties will involve interfacing with the entire customer base: reps, dealers and especially end users, both professional and home/consumer. Special focus will be placed on representing Genelec in such vital marketplaces as the Southern California studio scene. Esterson’s efforts will continue to further the growth of Genelec and its valued business partners.
Prior to joining Genelec, Esterson has held key positions in the pro audio marketplace, with such companies as DTSTM, TASCAM, and Lexicon, among others, where he has managed both professional and consumer accounts. At DTS, he created and supervised a worldwide dealer network and expanded the representative network fivefold. His experience with both pro and home users puts him in a unique position to communicate with the entire spectrum of Genelec’s clientele.
