Des Plaines, IL–Gepco International will begin distributing Sheer Sounds home theater/automation cables under the brand name of Gepco. Currently distributed and marketed under the Isotec brand, a subsidiary of Gepco International, all Sheer Sound cable and related components will now be distributed and supported by Gepco.
“Gepco is highly regarded for manufacturing and distributing innovative products engineered for professional and leading edge audio, video and data formats,” stated Gary Geppert, CEO/CTO of Gepco International. “By integrating the Sheer Sound product line into Gepcos, the home theater/automation markets will be better served through an increase in both resources and services.”
Gepco maintains warehouses on the east and west coasts, as well as throughout the international markets. Along with cables, Gepco also distributes a complete range of interconnect solutions, such as connectors, tooling, racks, patchbays and custom panels. As part of this transition, Gepco will also begin stocking and distributing ICM compression connectors, formerly distributed by Isotec. Additionally, Gepco has an in-house cable assembly department, a unique feature in the cable manufacturing and distribution industry.
To streamline the transition, John Orona, formerly of Isotec, has been appointed as Gepcos new business development manager. “Joining Gepcos line of quality cable products will increase Sheer Sounds visibility and improve its already solid reputation,” says Orona. “With this move, home theatre/automation contractors and installers will now be able to take care of all their installation needs in one place.”
