Startup GoldenEar Technology has signed up more than 100 dealers for its inaugural series of home speakers but delayed shipment until December from October.
The $1,249-each Triton Two three-way tower is 5.25-inches-wide and features black cloth that wraps around the whole curved-back cabinet.
Co-founder Sandy Gross Founder cited “all sorts of little things” for the changed date.
The speakers are targeted to independent A/V specialists. The company doesn’t plan to sell to regional chains or to online stores.
The company was founded by Gross, who also co-founded Polk Audio and Definitive Technology, and Don Givogue, another Definitive co-founder.
The startup’s first products, which debuted at the CEDIA EXPO, consisted of five in-room speakers and two subwoofers.
