HDMI Expert to Appear at NextGen’s CES Booth

NextGen, a manufacturer RF extenders, HDMI cable, and other AV accessories, has invited DPL president and HDMI expert Jeff Boccaccio to appear at its “Ask The Expert” event at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The session will take place on Friday January 8, 2010 at 2:00pm at the NextGen booth 20844 in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Boccaccio, a well-known electronics industry technology expert and author, will answer questions related to HDMI technology, including installation applications and troubleshooting issues. The event is free but space is limited so anyone interested in attending is urged to contact NextGen at 727.834.9400 to reserve a spot.

“We are indeed fortunate to have someone of Jeff’s caliber doing a presentation at our booth,” NextGen president Bob Dolatowski said. “Jeff is able to take highly complex topics and convey them in language that anyone can understand. His Ask the Expert sessions have been the highlights at other industry events so CES attendees have a great opportunity to get the latest news on HDMI and get answers to any questions they might have.”

Boccaccio’s company, DPL Laboratories Inc. of Ormond Beach, Florida, administers the Digital Performance Level Certification Program in which their independent laboratory tests advanced digital signaling products, such as HDMI cables, against an objective performance standard to determine an accurate ranking based on actual data-backed results.

All products are ranked on a simple numeric scale that ranges from “1” to “5” representing “good” to “best” performance. Consumers can then use this ranking to assist them in purchasing the correct product for their application. Dealers can then look for the DPL performance certification seal as an assurance of quality product performance.
