Vance Pflanz of Pflanz Electronics has been elected as new president for Home Entertainment Source (HES), the AV specialty division of Brand Source. Pflanz, the founder and owner of Pflanz Electronics, will serve his first term as group president.

“I am very excited about the future of HES, and as the new president I look forward to working with our very talented board and our growing membership,” stated Pflanz, who also serves as chair of the PARA board.
Additionally Bob Dodge of Talk of the Town and Alan Guyes of Audiotronics have been elected to serve their first terms on the board of directors, and Bill Janka of Mission Audio Video was re-elected. Marty Hayse of Dennis Sage Home Entertainment, David Pidgeon of Starpower Home Entertainment Systems, and Andy Kersey of Hamlin & Kersey will continue their service to the board.
HES executive VP Jim Ristow stated that he was eager to start working with the new board on the development of innovative business models that would help position HES members for the next decade.
Home Entertainment Source (HES) is a not-for-profit organization with approximately 500 members. HES provides specialized pricing, merchandising allowances, and rebate programs to the CE independent specialist, while using the size and power of Brand Source to provide general business services.
