Home Entertainment Source (HES) recently completed 20 HES Regional Working Dinners, during which HES members had the opportunity to have in-depth dialogue with HES upper management and staff, get updates on the industry and HES initiatives, and share best practices with other members.

The dinners were interactive, with a working agenda and members leaving armed with new knowledge to help run their businesses more profitably.

“These meetings are our grassroots effort to help shape the future of HES. The idea exchange is also critical in helping the independent specialist maintain relevancy in this time of industry consolidation,” said Jim Ristow, executive vice president of Home Entertainment Source. Ristow shared insider information and listened to what HES Members were seeing in their markets. Attendees discussed the future of the industry and which control, audio, and video companies group members will support. Members gave HES management valuable insight on how to make the group even stronger.

“I think at all these regional dinners our members came to the realization that they aren’t competing with each other but against other businesses like the Internet and box stores,” said Andy Orozco, director of communications for HES. “They feel good knowing that others face the same issues, which opened the event up for a productive idea exchange.”
