Campbell, CA–Home Director Inc., a provider of infrastructure and control products, has reached an agreement in principle to acquire Novus Technologies Inc., a manufacturer of wiring enclosures to MSOs (multiple system operators), LECs (local exchange carriers), and distribution partners.
Ten years ago, Home Director was a pioneer in the structured wiring market that transformed the distribution of data, voice, and video in todays home, said Michael Liddle, CEO of Home Director. Since then, very little has changed in the design of structured wiring enclosures and the modules that mount inside of them. However, builders and integrators want products that are quicker to install, product lines that scale from inexpensive to more valuable and product families that offer the ability to generate revenue through future hardware upgrades. We believe that the combination of Home Director and Novus Technologies will enable the roll-out of leading-edge solutions that meet these growing needs.
Using half of the 68,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Opelika, Alabama, Novus Technologies has built its business on delivering reliable and cost-effective enclosures and termination modules to three major markets: cable TV, telecommunications, and Fiber to the Home (FTTH), said Michael Springer, CEO of Novus Technologies. Novus Technologies is entering its 10th year in business and has a customer base that includes: Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Charter, BrightHouse, Cable One, Cablevision Systems and Media Com.
