Home Technologies Acquires Digitech

Residential systems integrator, Home Technologies Inc. has completed its acquisition of Bellevue, Washington-based Digitech Home Systems LLC.

Bellevue, WA–Residential systems integrator, Home Technologies Inc. has completed its acquisition of Bellevue, Washington-based Digitech Home Systems LLC. Home Technologies is building a dealer network that will offer standardized installation services and simplified purchasing packages.

As part of the agreement, Digitech Home Systems will change its name to Home Technologies–Bellevue and will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Home Technologies Inc. Both Home Technologies Inc. and Home Technologies–Bellevue plan to continue adding staff throughout the year.

Lee Travis, Home Technologies Inc., CEO and chairman of the board, reinforced the value of the Digitech acquisition and explained it as part of a three-prong growth strategy to bring standardization, economies of scale and a new customer experience to the industry.

“As a young company with a big mission Home Technologies is planning to expand in three ways: through strategic acquisitions like Digitech, by developing new market locations where it makes business sense and through a franchising model that will leverage the company’s simplified and standardized installation processes,” Travis said. “The Digitech acquisition represents one of the finest companies in the region and we are planning to build upon their solid foundation and continue to add value to create a pilot model for continued expansion in the Northwest and West with future sights set on a nationwide expansion.”

Digitech co-founder Rick Flescher said that his decision to sell to Home Technologies was based on the belief that it will strengthen the position of both companies and “is a good cultural and strategic fit” for Digitech. “Although our operation will be run as a separate, wholly-owned subsidiary, we intend to leverage the combined strengths of both organizations so that together we can bring more value to our clients,” Flescher explained.
