Homecrete Homes, an award-winning home builder on Florida’s Treasure Coast, has teamed up with Greenergy Communities and Clare Controls to include smart home automation systems as standard amenities in each of the high performance homes it builds in its new Westcliffe Estates at Tradition development. The objective is to further enhance the energy efficiency of these homes by using the Clare Controls automation solution. Tradition is a master planned community located in Port St. Lucie, FL. Each of the semi-custom courtyard-style homes will be built to the Net Zero Energy Standard, meaning they will produce as much energy as they consume or more.
Homecrete Homes is one of the leading high performance home builders on the Treasure Coast. Joining forces with Greenergy Communities, the leading Zero Energy community developer was a natural fit. The partnership also includes Unlimited Electronic Environments, an electrical contracting and technology integration firm and, and Clare Controls, a manufacturer of high-performance automation solutions that provide scalable lifestyle applications for a variety of homeowner needs. With the Clare system, users easily manage energy-saving daily routines that include lighting and climate controls plus video surveillance, security, multi-room audio, and more.
Each home in Westcliffe Estates will include Clare’s CLIQ controller, the “brain” of the scalable automation solution. Residents select automation applications to include additional energy savings, safety and security, comfort and convenience, and home entertainment. They will interact with the system via the Clare Controls App, an easy-to-use personalized interface that provides secure control on user’s iPads, iPhones, and Android phones, from home or away.
“We are driven by the goal of providing affordable, sustainable, and high performing homes,” said Jeff Alexander, president of Homecrete. “Clare’s automation system allows us to further our efficiency standards by putting the user in complete control of their homes from wherever they happen to be, and through pre-programmed routines that shut down or regulate the home applications. With Clare automation, responsible energy consumption becomes almost second nature.”
For Unlimited Electronic Environments, John Jackson said, “Clare’s price-to-performance ratio reinforced our decision to install and manage the innovative cloud-based automation solutions in Westcliffe. The efficiency of its remote management capability helps us assure that our clients receive a great value in their automation packages, with ongoing satisfaction. We are looking forward to helping achieve the sustainability goals of Homecrete’s Westcliffe Estates community.”
Brian Dietsch, Clare’s VP of business development, added, “The goal of our Clare Controls Builder Program is to provide homebuilders with home automation packages that meet and exceed the specific needs of their communities. We are, therefore, delighted to see our lifestyle applications used for promoting energy conservation in Westcliffe. Working together with Clare, Homecrete Homes, Greenergy, and Unlimited Electronic Environments will deliver a powerful, cost-effective, and energy-efficient homeowner experience.”
