Forty-eight people attended the 10th Annual Custom Managers Meeting.Members of Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) met in Indianapolis July 11-13 for the 10th Annual Custom Managers Meeting to foster idea sharing and relationship building. Forty-eight people attended the three-day event, including vendor sponsors.

“Every year this meeting attracts the best and brightest leaders within the HTSA membership,” said Richard Glikes, executive director of HTSA. “Exciting, regenerating, and stimulating are adjectives that embody the spirit of this conference and make this meeting so great each year.”

Members joined roundtable discussions on such topics as “Apple & Android Integration” and “Getting Your Teams Trained and Up To Speed on Networking.” Featured presenters included Gramophone’s Kurt Hackenberg, The Sound Room’s Andy Hauck, Sierra Integrated Home’s Keith Burrowes, and Barrett’s John Cook.

Matt Kramer of Electronic Integration helped members understand the basics of providing security services and Paragon’s Brad Whitehead helped members get their arms around a process for dealing with large integration projects. Vendor sponsors Sony, Dana Innovations, and Universal Remote Control presented on their newest product offerings and offered tools designed to support the independent specialty channel; and CEDIA’s Jeff Gardner spoke on Designing and Installing Residential Energy Management Systems.
