The Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) has revealed its plans for the 2015 HTSA Technology Forum, featuring third-party experts and key CE vendors. On June 23-25, in Chicago, IL, attendees will embark on an instructional and collaborative process, focused on experience sharing, bolstering technical knowledge, and improving business operations.
With the ever-changing technology landscape, HTSA says that the need for enhanced, timely product and service training has become a critical element for CI and specialty retailer businesses.
“We see the Technology Forum as a huge opportunity for our members to convene with the best and brightest thought leaders available, helping to strengthen their technical chops and business functions,” said Bob Hana, HTSA managing director. “We’ve gathered an insanely talented group of professionals, each an expert in his or her craft, who will educate on a number of topics ranging from ‘managing project managers’ to ‘tech tips for upgrading legacy systems’ — we are excited to share this knowledge with our members and in turn have them share theirs with us.”
Key topics and trainings covered during the 2015 HTSA Technology Forum include, but are not limited to:
Networks: The integration, managing and maintaining of residential networks.
Service & Security: Best practices in managing service and support systems; how to have a profitable security business.
Project Management: Best tools and software; labor utilization and increasing profitability.
Human Resources: How to recruit, train and retain technical resources.
Business Operations: Best practices for improving efficiency and profitability; working with third-party service providers.
Technical Issues: A review of today’s most challenging technical applications.
All sessions will be led by third-party experts from their respective field, as well as select CE vendors who will offer additional technical training, guidance, and resources.
