HydraConnect Cuts Price on HSS Processors

With significant increases in sales volume and improved production efficiency over the past year, according to HydraConnect president, David Schanin, the company will passing along most of these savings to its customers by cutting the prices of its HSS HDMI/audio matrix processors.

The Denver-based firm, which has been successful with Control4 dealers over the past two years, is now offering its systems into the Crestron, RTI, and iRule marketplaces.

“We have had a very good year. Volume is steadily ramping up, and we are seeing real cost savings in some improved production processes and buying components in larger quantities,” said Schanin. “Additionally, the weak economy has given purchasers like HydraConnect additional leverage with some of our suppliers.

“These two factors have combined to lower our costs, which we are going to pass on to our customers to gain additional market share. With exclusive features such as Dynamic 2D/3D, CEC control (which replaces IR blasters), 8X8 HDMI switching and 8X16 audio switching, and fully automated setup with EDID and HDCP keys, HydraConnect’s HSS product line is clearly the industry leader matrix system in terms of unique and valuable features for both dealers and end-users. This new pricing expands our ability to penetrate more cost sensitive markets.”

The suggested retail price of the HSS-2 goes from $8499 to $5999, while the new HSS-3 goes from $9,999 to $7,999, effective immediately.
