ihiji, creator of invision, the cloud-based remote support system that enables dealers to increase servicing efficiency and profits through its implementation as a service contract to homeowners, has secured a successful round of financing that it plans to tap for continued research and development.
“We led the way in remote monitoring, initially with our robust Crestron reboot and monitoring capabilities, and more recently with additional manufacturers and remote power integration added to our system,” said ihiji principal and co-founder Stuart Rench. “Securing the funding in a down economy is a testament to what technology experts believe invision represents to the residential, and soon the commercial markets. We’ll use it to add new features and functionality such as enhanced diagnostic and remote maintenance capabilities — all of which will save dealers time and money.”
ihiji has been on a fast track, having entered the custom installation channel in October 2009; by September 2010 invision was showcased at CEDIA Expo’s Technology Pavilion and honored with a CEDIA Manufacturers’ Excellence Award for Best New Product.
In 2010, the company was accepted into the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) program, granting it a technology-rich base from which to operate, along with strategic counsel and a nationally recognized top-tier talent pool in which to tap as needed.
Earlier this year, Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA) chose ihiji as the primary vendor for remote monitoring. The company was also named as one of the Rising Venture I.T. and Web Companies at the 8th Annual Rice (University) Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship I.T. and Web Venture Forum.
