Portchester, NY-based custom installer InnerSpace Electronics celebrated 25 years in business with a training and networking event hosting 44 local interior designers, builders, and architects at Savant’s NYC showroom on November 7.
The interactive trade-to-trade networking event included two sessions of an AIA-approved class covering wireless lighting control for new construction and retrofit for energy savings. Doubling as an anniversary celebration, the event allowed guests to mingle over cocktails, appetizers, and cake while perusing Savant’s full-featured showroom of both residential and commercial spaces.
InnerSpace co-founders Andrea and Barry Reiner hope to further cultivate relationships with designers, builders, and architects to continue the firm’s growth in the high-end, custom residential market.
“Our industry is in a constant state of evolution, much of which is driven by changes in technology trends, formats, and standards. It takes both dedication and passion to stay abreast of these changes and ensure they are reflected in our work,” Barry Reiner said. “I believe that what has made InnerSpace successful for the last quarter of a century is our unwavering commitment to growing with our clients. We have taken the opportunity to implement new market trends and product developments into the services we offer, helping to both exceed client expectations as well as deliver effortless simplicity that improves their lives. We look forward to serving our clients and the NY Metro community for years to come.”
Earlier this year, InnerSpace was honored with its 6th CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Award. The Bronze Technical Design award for Best Integrated Home, $100K and Under was presented for a home given extensive updates to an existing control system and theater, including control via Apple iOS devices and remote monitoring access. The 20,000-square-foot home uses a Savant system to control 18 zones of audio, IP radio, 24 zones of climate control, Lutron Homeworks lighting control with Sivoia shade control, along with a GE Interlogix security system using 32 security cameras, all accessible via the family’s iOS devices. The homeowners can also control their swimming pool and hot tub system via Jandy pool control integration with the Savant system. InnerSpace paid special attention to avoid interfering with day-to-day life for the family while blending the technology with the elegant décor.
“Being recognized by CEDIA is an incredible honor and something we are undoubtedly proud of,” Andrea Reiner said. “To be named among the top custom installation projects is something every electronic systems designer strives for. It speaks volumes for the commitment we have towards our craft and our mission to better the lives of our customers through technology.”
