iRoom, maker of motorized, in-wall iPad docks, has established a U.S. based division. iRoom Inc will be serving the United States, Mexico and Canada out of a California-based office beginning March 1.

The North American division will be led by president Chris Lehnen, former director of international business for SpeakerCraft. Previously, Minnesota-based Bracketron has been the exclusive marketer of the iRoom iDock in the region.

iRoom will be shipping an entirely new range of its iDock, a motorized docking device for Apple’s iPad. iRoom’s iDock will now come out of the box with a high-end, aluminum bezel with a magnetic mounting solution. The entire product line is also available with glass faceplates and will be fully compatible with both Apple’s 30-pin power connector and the new Lightning connector.

iRoom is releasing the all-new miniDock, an in-wall docking solution for Apple’s iPad mini. The miniDock will be fully flush-mounted, manually operated and framed by a high-end glass faceplate. It can be installed in portrait or landscape orientation and is available in piano black or opal white to match the color of the iPad mini.

iRoom’s iDock provides a solution for in-wall docking and control in private homes, hotels, yachts, restaurants, hospitals, boardrooms, retail spaces and more, the company says. It features a patented motorized docking system that opens and closes the docking device to securely store the iPad. When the iPad is docked, users have total control of smart home and environment applications on the device while it is also being charged.

iRoom also offers specific security versions: iDock Keycard and iDock Touchcode are ideal for commercial environments, where additional security is required when docking the iPad.
