Home Theatre Environment (HTE), known throughout Europe for its customized entertainment environments designed and manufactured in Italy, is expanding its presence within the Americas by hiring Todd Sutherland’s Sutherland AV Marketing.
Sutherland, based in Santa Barbara, CA, brings more than 20 years’ experience in the luxury, high-end segment of the industry. Over his career, he has worked directly for a handful of manufacturers, including Wisdom Audio.
“I am excited to represent HTE to the top integrators in the U.S., and across all of The Americas,” Sutherland said. “They may have had little or no exposure to the HTE products to date, but should be prepared for an extremely compelling and unique range of options to bring their clients, and designers.”
Sutherland says that he’s been in “far too many acoustically treated theaters in his career that felt claustrophobic and uncomfortable,” but that HTE solves this problem.
“During my time at Wisdom Audio, we worked hand-in-hand with Maurizio Conti and his team at HTE to deliver some outstanding CEDIA Expo demonstrations,” he said. “The Italian designs were huge hits with integrators, but the customized acoustic treatments cleverly hidden beneath those stunning interiors played an absolutely huge role in transporting everyone inside to an immersive experience that was both captivating and amazingly comfortable and livable. When Maurizio approached me with this opportunity to work together, I didn’t hesitate.”
