Jamo U.S. Taps Smith as VP

Lyle Smith is responsible for overseeing distribution channel and category strategies for the Jamo brand in North and South America.

Indianapolis, IN–Klipsch Group Americas has named Lyle Smith vice president of sales for Jamo U.S. In his new position, Smith is responsible for overseeing distribution channel and category strategies for the Jamo brand in North and South America.

Lyle comes to Jamo with a very strong track record in the audio industry, with 17 combined years of sales leadership at Ultimate Electronics and Best Buy/Magnolia Home Theater, said Dave Kelley, president of Klipsch Group Americas. I am confident that Lyle will lead Jamo to continued growth and expansion. His knowledge of the audio industry combined with his management skills will be incredible assets to Jamos success.

Smith began his career at Ultimate Electronics where he served as a general manager and later moved into a regional management position. While at Ultimate, he was responsible for leading a group of 14 retail stores and opened several key markets, including Dallas, Phoenix, and Salt Lake. During his 14 years at Ultimate Electronics, he was named manager of the year in 2002.

Smith joined Best Buy in 2003 as a general manager and most recently as the home theater market manager. He was responsible for achieving financial objectives for Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Montana. He consistently managed the top-performing markets and successfully opened eight new Magnolia Home Theater stores.
