SmartCode Touch is Kwikset's latest entry into the home automation market. It can hold up to 30 user codes and communicates with other wireless products in the home, such as security systems and home entertainment systems, through Home Connect technology (both Z-Wave and Zigbee versions). The screen can auto-detect a correct code and immediately unlock, while the LED display provides crisp, high-definition LED illumination.

In a statement, Keith Brandon, director of residential access solutions for Kwikset, said, "The new SmartCode Touch is a natural addition to our SmartCode product line. Each new lock that we introduce brings an increased level of convenience and safety to the residential security market. The SmartCode Touch does that as well, while expanding the range of SmartCode lock choices available to the homeowner."

Other features include Kwikset’s patented SmartKey re-key technology that allows homeowners to re-key their locks in seconds without having to remove the lock from the door; BumpGuard technology that protects homeowners from lock bumping; one-touch programming; the ability to integrate with the widest variety of wireless security and home automation platforms in the industry; and 32 different design styles.
