Bellevue, WA–Lagotek and Interactive Homes shared vision of automation in every home becomes reality this year when the Lagotek Home Intelligence Platform will be installed as a standard feature in every home in Lennar Homes Milano at Monterosso development in Danville, California.
Lagoteks partner, Interactive Home, will install the Lagotek HIP systems. The first phase of homes has begun selling and the first 10 families have already moved into their new Lennar Smart Homes. The project is expected to include over 90 homes to be completed by the end of 2008.
In selecting Lagotek and Interactive Home, Peter Beucke, senior VP Lennar Bay Area Division said, We have been looking for a technology solution that will provide our customers with feature rich, reliable and affordable home automation. We are very impressed with the system developed by Lagotek–it combines great features and ease of use with a high level of reliability.
Eugene Luskin, CEO of Lagotek, stated, While other builders think and talk about home automation, Lennar delivers Homes of the future to its customers today. This is the beginning of a new age–the age of the Smart Home, which has been promised for so long. Our secret sauce is a combination of the right product and the right partners. Interactive Home is the model partner–business savvy, capable and reliable–and our product is designed to satisfy the demands of visionary builders such as Lennar Homes while simultaneously addressing the rising expectations of a tech-savvy home buyer.
Lagoteks Home Intelligence Platform (HIP) automates lighting, distributed audio, media center control, video monitoring, zoned climate control and security system integration, with additional applications continuously under development. Homeowners manage their homes systems using a simple, but elegant, interface running on Lagotek HIP100 touch screen panels, PCs, Ultra Mobile PCs or Wi-Fi capable PDAs.
