Legrand Adds Network Capacity to Ethernet Switch

Responding to the need for infrastructure to effectively support the increase in networked devices being used in homes and small businesses, Legrand has introduced the DA2524 Gigabit Ethernet Switch.

Responding to the need for infrastructure to effectively support the increase in networked devices being used in homes and small businesses, Legrand has introduced the DA2524 Gigabit Ethernet Switch. Providing high speed Ethernet to as many as twenty-four devices simultaneously, the Gigabit Switch offers installers and distributors a valuable networking solution for new installations and retrofits. The DA2524 is available now.

DA2425

“The number of connected devices used in homes today is continuing to expand and we are seeing more rack-based networks supporting them,” said Fritz Werder, VP and general manager, NuVo/On-Q. “The DA2524 is a versatile, rack-mountable solution that installers can rely on to help them meet their customers demands.”

According to Werder, the throughput capacity and simplicity of installing the DA2425 makes it a perfect solution for future-proofing large networks being installed in homes or light commercial buildings. Each DA2425 provides a total switching capacity of 48 Gbps, with 2 Gbps throughput per port in full duplex mode. It automatically determines the fastest possible transmission speed for each connection, features LED indicators that

confirm a connection for each network stream, and offers increased energy efficiency with power saving modes on each connection.

For installation flexibility, the DA2524 ships with mounting ears for a standard 19″ rack, as well as with rubber feet for placement on a shelf or desktop. It is UL listed and compliant to FCC, CE, and RoHS standards.
