Legrand Unveils New Services and Promotes Fritz Werder

Legrand has revealed new shipping and service programs for its On-Q and NuVo product lines that will shorten delivery times, lower freight costs, enable real-time dealer account access, and extend daily customer service hours.

Legrand has revealed new shipping and service programs for its On-Q and NuVo product lines that will shorten delivery times, lower freight costs, enable real-time dealer account access, and extend daily customer service hours.

The company also announced that Fritz Werder, now general manager of On-Q, would take the role of vice president and general manager responsible for both the On-Q and NuVo product lines, on January 1, 2014.

“We are using all of Legrand’s combined resources to improve service, save dealers money, and give dealers the tools and information they need to manage their business with us effectively,” said Werder, who joined Legrand in 2002. “This is a great time to be able to lead the NuVo and On-Q teams, and I’m excited to have the opportunity.”

Legrand also announced that NuVo vice president and general manager, David Rodarte, part of NuVo’s original ownership team and the company’s leader during its rapid growth over the last decade, will leave the company on December 31.

“I have partnered with Fritz on the development of our business and have confidence in his management abilities to continue growing the business,” said Rodarte. “His experience serving the professional integrator, expert knowledge of home technologies, and keen desire to satisfy our customers will insure the growth of both NuVo and On-Q.”

Werder said that in January, Legrand will begin filling NuVo product orders from its Fort Mill, SC warehouse, instead of NuVo’s Kentucky facility. The Fort Mill location currently handles other Legrand product lines, including On-Q, Pass Seymour, Wiremold and Ortronics.

Werder added that beginning January 1, 2014, On-Q will expand the number of states serviced from Legrand’s Rancho Cucamonga, CA, warehouse to include: Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas, and the Dakotas. NuVo will begin filling Western U.S. orders from this location starting February 1.

Said Werder: “Utilizing dual warehouses brings the product closer to customers, resulting in improved shipping time and costs.”

Additionally, both the NuVo and On-Q product lines would now be supported by Legrand’s customer service center in Syracuse, NY. The Syracuse facility offers a larger support team and extended hours. For the first time and also beginning in January, NuVo and On-Q dealers will have access to an online portal on the Legrand website to place orders, check order status, prices, and inventory, and manage their company profile.
