Carlsbad, CA–Linear LLC has acquired Allstar Corporation, a Downingtown, PA-based manufacturer of gate operators, commercial and residential garage door operators, and radio controls. The purchase became effective April 10, 2007. The new companys name is AllStar Pro LLC. No terms of the deal were disclosed.

We are very pleased about this acquisition and look forward to the many positives made possible by a larger enterprise–manufacturing efficiencies, ongoing product improvements, and customer service enhancements, according to Robert T. Holland, Allstars president. The plan is to continue to manufacture, sell, and support all of the Allstar products. Customer service operations and contact channels remain the same.
A training session for all field sales personnel was held the week of May 7. We wanted to bring everyone together immediately, educate them about all the products, introduce some new developments, and hit the ground running, said Larry Foisie, Linears vice president of Entry Systems.
