Linear LLC announced that Duane Paulson has been named senior vice president, product and market development.

Duane Paulson.

Paulson has responsibility for technical services, marketing, and product and business development, and will report directly to Linear president Mike O’Neal.

In his 20-year security manufacturing career, Paulson has served in executive product management, business development and marketing roles. He was vice president of marketing for ITI and its successor organization, Interlogix, and vice president of global residential marketing for GE Security after GE’s acquisition of Interlogix. In 2005 Duane co-founded Sequel Technologies, a provider of hybrid security systems primarily aimed at the residential integration market. Immediately prior to founding Sequel, Paulson served as president of Gibson Audio, the consumer electronics division of Gibson Guitar Corporation.

Paulson has actively contributed to the custom and consumer electronics industries, winning numerous industry awards for product management and marketing. He has also proudly served on the boards of both the Security Industry Association and the Consumer Electronics Association.

“Linear is one of the great innovators in electronic security,” Paulson said. “This legacy is a tremendous asset to build upon. Linear’s focus on providing both product and service solutions to the security industry makes this an exciting opportunity.”

“Duane adds a lot of depth to our organization,” O’Neal said. “We’ve had the opportunity to work closely together in the past on industry projects, and I look forward to his impact on Linear.”
