Lighting control manufacturer Lutron Electronics has joined the Electronic Security Association (ESA), which is the largest professional trade association in the United States whose purpose is to represent, promote and enhance the growth and professional development of the electronic life safety, security, and integrated systems industry.
“Lutron’s ESA membership shows our dedication to the technology-rich security market,” Lutron residential sales director Rich Matthews said. “Giving security installers the tools and know-how to sell whole-home lighting controls will not only grow their bottom line, but also provide an enhanced security experience for their homeowners.”
Lutron’s RadioRA 2 whole-home lighting control system and Sivoia QS Wireless shading system can be integrated with security and fire systems. A security system can be expanded to include these Lutron whole-home lighting control system benefits:
• Lights lock on at full brightness or flash when the security system is triggered
• Lights can be turned on from the safety of the car from the system’s visor control
• Lights can be scheduled to turn on so an empty house appears occupied
• Exterior lights can turn on at sunset, creating a safe, well-lit environment.
