Lutron Electronics is launching a new product in its shading category: Serena, low-cost, battery-powered, remote controlled, cellular shades starting at $299.
Serena shades are designed to be aesthetically pleasing for all styles of homes, ranging from traditional to contemporary. The shades are available in three styles of fabrics, all of which allow different levels of light to filter into a room—Single Cell Light Filtering, Double Cell Light Filtering or Single Cell Blackout. Serena is available in more than 50 different colors.
Additionally, Serena cellular shades feature new, patent-pending Triathlon power technology, which extends the shade’s battery life up to three years. Using standard D batteries, Serena can be installed as quickly and easily as hanging a picture, Lutron says, but without any damage to the walls.
