McIntosh has launched its new website.

The site is currently available in English, and will debut in seven languages over the course of the next two months.

Visitors will be able to learn about the company’s contributions to music history, such as how McIntosh helped create the audio experience for the Woodstock concert in the 1960s, and provided the Grateful Dead with their “Wall of Sound” in 1974. Various brand ambassadors who have chosen to listen to their music on McIntosh gear, such as LA Reid of Def Jam Records and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead and Furthur, share their experiences with the brand.

The site offers a variety of advanced search capabilities geared toward both enthusiasts and the audio-inexperienced. Visitors may search the site either by the entering a specific product number or by entering the name of one of the company’s new lifestyle Collections, such as the “Manhattan” compact, integrated home audio system, the “Soho” collection — an audio system solution that combines the MT10 turntable with a high performance pre-amp and loudspeakers — or the “Westchester,” a seven-channel home theater system.

In addition, shoppers can compare products, create wishlists, ask an expert technical questions or download the new McIntosh AP1 Audio Player. The McIntosh Authorized Dealer Locator is designed to assist customers in finding a local specialist to create a personalized system customized to meet their specific lifestyle/living space needs.

“The goal of our newly designed global website is to reach out to a new audience and invite everyone who truly loves music to experience McIntosh, whether they are just beginning to explore the pleasures of ultimate-quality high-end listening or have been passionate McIntosh supporters for years,” said Charlie Randall, president of McIntosh. “We believe the keys to achieving this goal are accessibility, information and experience both on-line and in-store. McIntosh has always offered the kind of no-compromise music listening worthy of the most discerning customer and the most refined tastes — with our new site, we are offering the McIntosh experience in a more approachable way than ever before.”
