McMillin Texas Homes, noted builder of at least seventy green residences this year, will provide Clare Controls’ ClareHome automation packages as standard amenities in three of its new San Antonio communities. The products will be available in Vanado Creek, The Ridge at Lookout Canyon, and the Cliffs at Cibolo. The Clare lifestyle applications and automation options will help support McMillin’s smart energy management efforts.
The automation solutions for McMillin Texas are being delivered via partnership with Clare Controls, a manufacturer of high-performance automation solutions noted for offering scalable lifestyle automation solutions, and Builder Security Group (BSG), a provider of home technology management services.
Each McMillin Texas home will incorporate a CLIQ controller, the “brain” of the automation solution, to host scalable applications. Homeowners can then select personalized packages to add benefits including safety and security, comfort and convenience, and entertainment to their homes. Of particular value to an increasing number of McMillin customers is the system’s ability to support smart energy management practices. Toward that end, McMillin is including a controllable thermostat and automated lighting in their new San Antonio homes. These applications and others are unified under the control of a Clare’s personalized interface on users’ iPads, iPhones, and Android phones, and can be accessed securely from home or away.
