Meridian Audio has created an HP webOS application designed for the new HP TouchPad tablet device, unveiled at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, and launching in June.
The Sooloos application is an instant access music service for users to enjoy songs while on the move, and is based on Meridian’s Sooloos software and digital media system bearing the same name.
“HP identified Sooloos as the ideal way to let users enjoy the full potential of their music on the new TouchPad thanks to the app’s award winning user interface which allows the user to aggregate content from numerous sources including CDs, downloads and subscription services,” said Graeme Taylor, chief marketing officer, Meridian Audio. “HP and Meridian are both globally recognized as companies who strive to spearhead technological development and being selected as one of the HP premium showcase apps confirms Sooloos’ position as the class leader in music management software.”
Meridian first introduced the Sooloos Digital Media System on which the application is designed in 2009.
