According to the companies, the alliance will allow Monster to expand its reach in the growing custom integration marketplace, providing retailers with an efficient distribution and training network for its full line of AV accessories and other products.
Monster products are currently available at all 21 AVAD locations in the U.S. and will be available at three AVAD Canadian locations by February 2012.
AVAD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro, provides integrators access to products and integrated solutions for residential and commercial video, audio, lighting control, content management, whole-home and business automation and control, as well as digital signage and commercial solutions and design services.
Head Monster Noel Lee said: “Our alliance with AVAD is an idea whose time has definitely come. It will help us dramatically enhance our overall market management in the custom integration arena and increase profitability for our dealers. As the CE industry continues to evolve, new technologies and products emerge almost every day, many offering installers valuable ancillary sales opportunities.
“Unfortunately, for many integrators, there are just so many products and accessories categories out there that finding the ideal solutions for customers can be daunting. With AVAD as our distribution partner, we will be able to offer our retailers not only quick and responsive access to all Monster products, but easy access to the training, information resources and tools they need to grow their businesses and build profits. AVAD’s best-in-class sales support, customer service and technical support will provide a clear pathway for success.”
