Austin, TX–NetStreams has named founder Herman Crdenas to chairman of the board and appointed Kevin Reinis as president and CEO. Reinis, formerly CEO of Yosemite Technologies and a 20-year information technology industry veteran, will be responsible for NetStreams’ global operations, including sales, marketing, finance, engineering, and business development.
Crdenas will continue to lead the company’s product and technology strategies, promote the benefits of IP-Based networked entertainment, and develop strategic relationships to accelerate the growth of the emerging IP entertainment market by leveraging NetStreams cutting-edge StreamNet technology.
“As a result of our rapid growth, I found myself spending most of my time on day-to-day business activities instead of leveraging my strengths and doing what I love most–driving our company’s vision and evangelizing IP-Based networked entertainment. I felt the timing was right to bring on a new CEO, relieving me of the daily operating responsibilities of NetStreams. In Kevin I found a seasoned, dynamic CEO who complements the current skills of the management team and embraces the same culture. I am very excited about the contributions that Kevin will make to the future of NetStreams,” Crdenas said.
Prior to Yosemite Technologies, Reinis was VP of business development and
strategic alliances at VERITAS Software, where he was responsible for building and maintaining the company’s global partnerships. Before joining VERITAS, Reinis was general manager and VP of Dell PowerVault Storage for the Dell Enterprise Systems Group.
