Netstreams Offers Designer “Skins” for DigiLinX GUI

Standard skins are basic and free, but designer skins are free for a limited time.

Austin, TX–NetStreams is offering new standard and designer skins for its DigiLinX IP-Based Multi-Room Audio and Control system. Used to change the look, feel and appearance of its graphical user interface available on its TouchLinX touch screens or on web browser interface (PC, PDA), NetStreams has developed a number of different skins to be released with a new version of its DigiLinX Dealer Setup Program.

Company officials said the standard skins, available at no charge, and the designer skins, available for no charge for a limited time, will be available at the end of March to authorized dealers.

Dealers can now personalize the consumers whole house audio system with a different user interface in each room by just selecting the one they want to use in the DigiLinX Dealer Setup Program, said Herman Cardenas, NetStreams, chief executive officer. Now custom installers do not need to have a sophisticated graphical user interface designer on staff. Not only is NetStreams offering its user interface skins with the traditional button layout, we have also incorporated fun designer styles, such as golf ball buttons for dad, Monet for mom and a variety of child-friendly interfaces for the kids.

Since DigiLinX is a completely IP-Based system lends itself to unprecedented flexibility and ease of use, commented Cardenas. No one else can offer the ease of installation and programming with such rich graphics, and the utility provides options that are “much more intricate than square buttons and round buttons.”
