David Weekley Homes, the largest privately held homebuilders in the U.S., is passionate about building exceptional homes for its clients. The company prides itself on offering its trademarked “Custom Choices” options that aim to offer timeless appeal. The builder has entered into a strategic partnership with Clare Controls to provide homebuyers in Winter Garden, FL with smart home technology as part of its standard base package starting with Phase 3 and 4a in the Oakland Park – Village Homes development.

“There’s a lot to keep track of when buying a new home. The process can be daunting, even for those who’ve been through it before,” said Brent Bartholomew, division president for David Weekley Homes. “By adding smart home technology as a standard, we make it easy for our customers to settle into their new homes and enjoy the comfort and convenience of the technology. They don’t have to figure out which smart home technology to purchase or who is going to install it. And with Clare, we know it’s going to be reliable and simple to use.”

David Weekley Homes is providing new homeowners with control of heating/cooling via a Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat, from their favorite mobile devices to start. Clare provides a clear path to upgrade, leveraging several smart home packages such as common-area and master-suite lighting, enhanced safety and security, and entertainment packages. Each package is designed to simplify the homeowner’s life and includes a blend of smart devices that work together to increase security, comfort, and convenience.

“We are thrilled to provide David Weekley Homes with our technology as a standard in their properties,” said Brian Dietsch, vice president business development, Clare Controls. “The partnership is a natural fit as our companies have similar philosophies when it comes to service and support. We pride ourselves on being there for our customers every step of the way and beyond the sale.”

David Weekley’s home designs feature the firm’s unique “LifeDesign” concept, which combines form and function to make a home feel larger, and maximize client enjoyment. The Cottage Homes, Village Homes, and large Estate Homes reside on 40-70 foot home sites at 1,600-3,700 square feet and range in price from $330K-$410K.

Homeowners will be able to experience the Clare Controls lifestyle packages at the David Weekley design center on the Clare Controls sales experience kiosk. The kiosk allows homeowners to see, experience, and select the Clare Controls packages that best fit their lifestyle

“Clare enables homeowners to personalize their automation solution as easily as they would pick cabinets or countertops,” Dietsch said.
