NHT’s ranks are expanding, thanks to the arrival of Jeff Coates, who returns to the company as its director of sales of its B2B segment.
Coates, who served as NHT’s North American sales manager from 2003–2006, will be responsible for managing the company’s direct sales programs while expanding its dealer presence throughout the U.S.
“Over the years we were lucky to work with a remarkable group of people who understand what makes NHT unique in the audio business, and I can’t think of anyone who was a better fit than Jeff,” NHT’s co-owner John Johnsen commented. “When we returned to being the ‘real’ NHT last year, the one question I heard repeatedly was, ‘When is Jeff coming back?’ I’m happy to say that day has arrived.”
Johnsen added that since launching its web-based model last May, the company has a steadily growing number of resellers. “The channel has grown to the point that our partners deserve a dedicated individual who is available 24/7/365,” he said. “And with Jeff on board, I can return to my ultimate goal, which is to manage the business on the beach from my iPhone.”
Coates joined NHT in 2003, handling U.S. sales management and training. He followed his original stint at NHT with sales and training roles at NetStreams, which was acquired by ClearOne in 2009.
“NHT was created by and for music lovers,” Coates said. “For me, it feels like a second home. It’s one of the few companies that understands the needs and interests of audio fans who embrace quality and value over hype. I’m thrilled to be back on the team.”
