Designers, builders, remodelers, and architects have understood the need to align with technology integrators to respond to the modern client’s desire for connected home technology – beautifully designed spaces with seamless technology integration. CEDIA Expo is the single event where design professionals and technology integrators come together to network and share knowledge of their respective industries and explore how the two professions collaborate on current and developing projects.
“Having an area on the show floor dedicated to technology and design integration will spark needed conversations between the two professional groups,” said Suzie Williford, NKBA’s executive vice president of industry relations and CSO. “Kitchen and bath designers are hungry for products that will move the needle on technology integration in intelligently built environments.”
“CEDIA Expo is the only event that is tapping into this market and is opening the door to relationships that might not have been there before,” said Brian Pagel, senior vice principal of Emerald Expositions. “CEDIA Expo 2018 will be rolling out new initiatives that connect designer and construction professionals with integrators, allowing for productive future projects.”
CEDIA Expo 2018 will feature the Design Connection Pavilion, an area on the show floor for design and construction professionals to discover and explore new smart products and brands that can be integrated into their residential and commercial designs.
Also debuting at CEDIA Expo 2018 is the Design Connection Tour series. A technology integrator will serve as a guide who will lead approximately 20 design and construction professionals on a tactical tour of the CEDIA Expo show floor. Exhibitors boasting new and innovative solutions for the intelligently connected built environment professionals will be tour stops.
CEDIA Expo 2018 will run from September 6 to 8 at the San Diego Convention Center. For more information, visit www.cediaexpo.com.
