NSCA Partnership Program Full Steam Ahead

The Association has signed up three participants since the recent launch of its partnership program, which aims to open doors for certified CI professionals.

Cedar Rapids, IA–In order to provide more opportunities for professionals with C-SI or C-EST designations and participants in the Certificate of Completion Program (CCP) to accumulate Learning Units (LUs), NSCA is developing partnerships with manufacturers and other industry training providers. The NSCA Partner Program signed three participants shortly after its launch. The Syn-Aud-Con seminars were the first to receive NSCA Partner Provider status, followed shortly thereafter by courses from Brawn Consulting and Extron Electronics.

“Industry training providers who become a designated NSCA Partner Provider will not only receive positive recognition for providing course material that meets the high standards of NSCA, they will also have access to a growing base of EST and CCP participants,” said Ian Wolfe of the NSCA Education Committee. “NSCA Partner Providers will be able to differentiate themselves from other educational offerings in the industry with this new designation, and additionally reap the benefits of promotion of their courses on the NSCA website and collateral materials.”

“Courses that are eligible for NSCA Partner Provider status include manufacturer training, in-house training, community college courses, association education beyond NSCA and independent provider training. NSCA’s Partner Provider program is an exciting new aspect of NSCA University,” said Brad Nelson, Chair of the NSCA Education Committee. “There are many excellent educators and training resources in our industry, such as Syn-Aud-Con, Brawn and Extron. The Partner Provider program is a way that the NSCA can recognize excellence in education, foster industry-wide training, build on the already outstanding foundation of the University, and promote high-quality resources to a wider range of potential attendees.”

“It is quite a compliment and honor to have the Syn-Aud-Con Seminars become the first NSCA Partner Provider,” said Brenda Brown of Synergetic Audio Concepts. “Education and training are vital to raise the bar within the audio industry. We are thankful to have the opportunity to work with NSCA University and to be part of a program that will encourage this.”

Commenting on his decision to become a NSCA Partner Provider, Alan Brawn, Principal of Brawn Consulting said, “NSCA has long been a leader in the pursuit of professional standards in the professional AV industry. They walk the walk and talk the talk of education as a tool for differentiation and professional development and as such are one of the prime reasons the professional AV industry and our certifications are becoming recognized as a demarcation of quality in this high-tech world. Brawn Consulting is proud to be a part of NSCA and provide content and curriculums to further the goals of the organization.”

The first manufacturer to join the program is Extron Electronics, with its numerous training programs. “We are pleased to participate in the NSCA Partner Provider program,” said Jim Clements, Director of Education and Training for Extron Electronics. “Due to the rapid change of technologies it is important to ensure that all AV professionals are up to date in the integration and optimization of AV systems to meet the needs of the client.”
